Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

divorce

I got married in February 2003 and I want to get divorced because my husband is very abusive alcoholic and it is just not working like I thought it would. There are some issues I need to disscus with really good lawyer which I don't want to post here.It is about this whole relationship. thank you

From your email I am assuming your are not a US citizen or resident. You mentioned a key phrase "abusive alcoholic." If you are being abused, you must document the same and preserve the evidence as much as possible. Qualifying as a special immigrant (AKA battered wife of a US citizen or permanent resident) may be your way out. Good luck.
