Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
e2 visa
Hello, i would like to know whether i have to show money passing over to get an e2 visa. I know the govt. wants to see money being invested to give an e2 visa but what if i'm being given a business (which qualifies under an e2) by a family member who doesn't want any compensation. Can we just say that i have paid for it or does the govt. make sure money has been put into an escrow etc.. thank you

Re: e2 visa
Money invested by you needs to be traced back to you. It also must come from your home country.
