How long it may take the INS to approve the employment immigration petition and issue the ''green card'' after the Department of Labor has approved the the labor certification.

The processing time for the Form I-140, Employment-Based Immigrant Petition and the Form I-485, Application to Adjust Status to Permanent Residence will depend on where the forms where filed (i.e. California, Nebaraska, Vermont, or Texas Service Center).
