Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Hi, I entered the US through K-1 visa and after 1 month, I got married with my US citizen fianc. We got married in Las Vegas but we live in California (in case it matters). I have submitted my application for Adjustment of Status (i-485) and Employment Authorization document (i-765) using my "unmarried" name. However, I want to update my name now (both my middle name and last name will be changed). Provided that I have already submitted my immigration applications to USCIS, I have 2 questions: (1) How can I legally change my name in California if I want to change both my middle and last name (2) After changing my name legally, how can I make sure that my work permit and green card (once approved) will reflect my "married" name. Thank you!

You can change your name on your driver's license or CA ID just by making an appointment with DMV & bringing your birth certificate, passport, & marriage certificate, as well as filling out an application for a new/replacement dirvier's license or CA ID.

You can change your name for purposes of your "greencard" at the interview. Just tell the Officer you want to use your "married" name as your last name on the card & he/she will make the notation on the forms.

Your work permit will have your maiden name, if that is what you stated on Form I-765, but it's really not a big deal.
