Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I am in expedited removal proceedings waiting on a credible fear interview. I have to check in with immigration often. During this time my husband applied and was granted asylum. He petitioned for me and I was granted derivative asylum. Is my derivative asylum valid? What do I need to do to stop having to check in with immigration?

This is an odd question because usually the only expedited removal proceedings where one is waiting for a credible fear interview happens at the airport, and usually those people aren't even afforded a lawyer (they aren't admitted to the USA yet) let alone the internet to ask questions on a public message board. However if you were granted derivative asylum you might want to notify the ICE Officer who is in charge of your case as it appears that you already may have satisfied your credible fear test already by proxy through your husband's filing.
