Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I am currently here on F-1 getting my master's. I heard that if there's some test I take to get a government job and end up passing it and getting hired, that I will get a green card right away. Is this true? Or is there anything similar to this? Or is someone just pulling my leg...? Thank you!

I am unaware of this test. However, you can have a U.S. employer petition you for an H-1B visa, and then pursue a greencard through an offer of employment.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding employment-based immigration. Thank you.
