Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

F-1 , practical training and H-1

Hi,

I came here for my Masters 3 years ago with an F-1 visa. I got my practical training on August the 10th 2000. I was working at a company and they had applied for my H-1B, but it had not come through yet, and I just got laid off. This means my practical training is valid till August the 10th 2001. I wanted to know if I were entitled to a 2 month grace period or not.

Thanks

You might make sure that your company has withdrawn your H-1B case.
