Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I failed my U.S. citizen test back in 2011 because I registered to vote in 2009 and falsely claim myself to be US citizen but I did not vote. I didn't know it is against the law for green card holder to register to vote. Now I want to apply for U.S. citizen again. Under the "have you ever claim to be U.S. citizen?" and " have you ever register to vote?" question, should I answer yes or no? Will my registered to vote record be clear after 5 years? Please advise. And thank you so much for your time.

Unfortunately, there is no clean slate after 5 years for voter fraud, so you are still going to have a problem with that issue.
