Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Fake marriage

I felt in love my current wife and married her within a month. After I sponsored her for green card, her attitude totally changed. She does not want to be with me any more 10 months after the marriage. What would happen if I report her to INS or tell the immigration officer the truth?

Re: Fake marriage

Doesn't sound like a "fake marriage" if you fell in love with her. If you tell the INS, her case will be denied. But she could turn around and accuse you of having conspired to cheat the government and you could be criminally prosecuted.
