Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Fastest way to bring a Bach. Sci. Civil Enigeer to USA with his wife, he has in-

Hello, trying to bring my in-law over from Iran to California. He is a civil engineer and his wife is a BA in English degree but a homemaker. He does have over 5-10yrs. exper. in civil engineering. I'd like to know what is the fastest way to get him to United States legally with his wife and what the cost would be and what type of actions we need to take and what forms and paper works you require to start the case??

And how long will it take from the day we start until the day they enter USA?? And what if we don't have the company in our mind and we need your a law firm to find the job too, if H-1 is the quickest way to USA. Thank you.

MK

If your wife is U.S. Citizen, she can sponsor her parents for green card. That process should not take more than couple of years. As to H1B, the way U.S economy is today...I think it would be hard for him to find an Employer who would be willing to sponsor. You can contact me for further assistance at 818-481-9284.

The H-1B is probably the best way. However, he needs to have a job offer and find the job on his own. Most law firms are not in the business of employment search for civil engineers (I'm not even sure it's ethical for lawyers to do this).

Once the employer signs off on the H-1B petition, it takes about two to four months to be approved by the INS here in the US. Then, the process to get an interview at a US consulate near Iran (such as Turkey or Dubai) could take many more months.

This process requires the full cooperation of the employer with the attorney.
