Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
form i485
I live in the US since 07/1992, on 01/1999 I meet my wife(permanent Resident), we married on 01/2000
we have two children 3 and 7.
she filed petition for me on 06/2004
approved on 04/2005,she became a USC on 08/2005, we informed nvc.
we called the uscis customer service
and the officer told us to file form
I-485 packet and that I will also need to file form I-601 since Iam here illegal, we received a letter from nvc asking if I want to apply for
adjustment here in the states, we response, yes. but we are confused if we need to file form I-601 first or last from I-485 and if it is there any hope for me.
thank you for any response.

Re: form i485
You must file the 601 package with the adjustment package (DS-230) in your country of origin. You cannot file the I-485 package in the U.S.
