Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
My future K1 visa fianc has never been married, but she has a daughter. There is an error on the daughters birth certificate indicating that her parent (my fianc) was married. To get a passport for her daughter (her countries passport), due to the error, she had to get an official government Certificate of no marriage from her countries national statistics office to prove she was never married.
Would the error on the daughters birth certificate be a problem with US immigration? It says she was married, but as she wasnt there are no divorce papers. Would the Certificate of no marriage be enough to prove things?
