Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

regarding my h1b extension

hi

below is my scenario, please clarify

my passort expires next yr by this time...in 2009.

if i apply my 3rd yr h1b extension this year,what will be the validity of my new h1b approval and i-94 be..

will it be for 3 more years or until my passport expiry..

and then if i go for a h1b stamping, how long will i be given the h1b visa for,is it for 3 yrs or

only until i-94 validity....please clarify
