Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

H1-B Visa

A doctor in Orange County, California wants to sponsor me under H1-B visa to work in the clinic that he owns to manage his computer based accounting system. I'm a graduate of banking and finance and presently working as Administrative Assistant to the Finance Officer in one of Tokyo's Foreign Embassies. Do you think I can get an H1-B visa to work it that clinic?

Re: H1-B Visa

I think you have a fairly good chance if the offered position is something that normally requires a bachelor's degree to perform. With this kind of cases, the position would have to be described more as an accounting type of job rather than a computer specialist job, especially since your degree (Bachelor's, I assume) is in banking and finance.

Please contact my office and we can discuss this in more details.
