Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I am on H1B visa in US, and my wife and kids are on H4 visa. What happens to their visa status if we decide to live separately.
Is ti advisable to go thru legal separation? or go thru informally live separately?

As long as you are still legally married, she technically can remain in H-4 status. Your children will always be eligible for H-4 status, until the age of 21.
I do not practice Family Law, so I cannot advise you on that matter. Please contact a Family Law Attorney, licensed in California, to address your other issue.
