HB-1 Visas

one of my friends has a H-1B visa and I was wondering what are the procedures for him to follow if he wants to work at a company that did not sponsor him in the USA? I was wondering if he could work for a different company other than the one he is working for right now and what procedures he must follow? thanks!

Your friend must file an application for a Change of Employer with USCIS. Your friend may apply for this new H-1B visa right now because he is exempt from the H-1 visa cap.
