Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Hello

I've had my green card for 3 years and am now in a job that requires me to travel every once in a while. My passport from my country of origin has recently expired, and to renew it would require documents that I don't currently have. Is there any document (or any temporary US passport) that I can obtain to allow me to travel for work without a valid passport from my country of origin?

If not, is there any way that I can legally travel without a valid passport?

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately, you must have a valid passport from your country of nationality in order to travel internationally. However, if you fly domestically, all you need is a photo ID.
