Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Hi,

I have an L1B visa and right now i am in US for the past 1.5 years. My visa and I94 expiration dates is Sep-05-2010(05/09/2010). But my approval I-797B is showing the expiration date as 05/09/2010(May-09-2010). Could you please tell me is there any issue with this, is this a mistake when the visa got stamped? If this is a mistake what should be the next step.

Thanks

Yes, there is a mistake. The I-797 controls and the I-94 should be corrected. Moreover, an L-1B extension petition must be filed. If not timely handled, with approval of the extension by the time I-797 Approval Notice expires, one would have to stop working until the case is approved.

The above is not legal advice. It is general information and doesn't form an attorney client relationship. For further information, contact me at [email protected] or 818 609 1953.
