Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Hi,
My cousin is in USA on student Visa. She is currently doing PhD and has been in PhD program for an year now. Her Visa stamp is expiring in Next month and she was wondering if she can get the Visa stamp renewal in Canada.
Is it easy getting Student Visa in Canada? Any rules/regulations we need to follow?
Please r me if you have any information and experience around the same.
Appreciate your help in advance.
Thanks

Canada might accept third country national visa applications. We suggest you to consult with an immigration attorney or check with the US Embassy in Canada before making any plans.

When an applicant for a visa shows up at a consulate after making an appointment, then the application needs to be considered, even if not the home country's consulate. However, some consulates don't do third country cases or have special rules for them. It depends on which office you're talking about.
Before deciding whether 3rd country visa processing is advisable or not, and if so, which office is best and how it's done, it's important to review and consider all facts of the case. Each case needs to be looked at on its own merits and then a decision should be made.
The above is general information. It is not legal advice and doesn't form an attorney client relationship. For further information, feel free to contact [email protected] or 818 609 1953.
