Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

My husband got deported by voluntary leave. I am trying To fix his papers, we have been married since 2002, we have 4 children, one is disabled. When he got deported they said it would not affect him when he would try obtaining his papers. Does he have posibilities of obtaining his papers
