Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

husband with orally abusive wife

Hi, im 23, i married my wife about a year ago, and the marriage was done in good faith. now there has been nothing but stress. Her parents got mad at her, and made her move out. she later wanted a divorce, which i agreed upon. now she want to deport me, and is being verbally abusive.

She never petition for me, we have no children together. I was curious if i can qualify for the battered spouse law. although i have no physicially injuries, and was all physical. i have evidence of text messages, and my friends will bare witness.

what are my options? what can i do?

honestly im scared =(

You might file VAWA battered spouse application if you meet the requirements. An immigrant petition is not required.

Men can qualify under the Violence Against Womens Act whether physically or mentally abused. There are various qualifying factors.
