I-140
With an approved I-140 and the proirity date not being current, Will they allow you to renew a tourist visa? Thank you for your answer.

If you're here on a tourist visa, merely having an approved I-140 (without priority number current) does not give you anymore right than another tourist here. The term on the B-1/B-2 is six months initially and usually one can extend the stay for another six months at most. If you've already extended, you can't extend again but must switch to anther type of nonimmigrant visa, if you're eligible.

Of course, if you are presently here under a B-2 (non-immigrant) visa, the burden when filing your extension will be on you to show that you intend to return home (after your temporary stay).
