I am a US citizen I filed the I-130 for my husband but I received a letter saying that he needed an approved I-212 waiver because he is and expedited removal case. He was caught at the San Ysidro port of entry over 5 yrs ago (he was inadmissible for 5 yrs. How long does it take to get answer for the waiver and what happens it's not approved?

It can take atleast a year or so to get a 212 waiver approved. In LA Judges are giving 2004 dates for 212 merit hearings. You must consult an attorney,,,your husband has a complicated case.
