Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I-129F Length of stay required in US

Im a US Citizen and I applied for my husband's I-129F from CA. He lives in United Arab Emirates. My qustion is that once he gets the Visa to enter the US how long does he have to stay in CA to get his green card or is there somthing he can file, due to the fact that in UAE he is still under contract with the company and cant be away for more than 25days. Please help ??

Your fiance must stay in the U.S. until the adjustment of status application for permanent residence ("green card") is filed. You must submit a travel permit (form I-131) with the adjustment of status application.

Something doesn't add up here. If he is your husbad, why are you even filing I-129F? You should be filing I-130 instead.

Your husband, upon approval will enter the US with permanent resident status and after two years he'll get his permanent green card.
