I assume you missed anappointment if so you need to undo the problem. This matter is complex and you should not try to do it yourself so you should get an attorney to discuss your options. If you didn't get proper notice of some INS/CIS action, there are potential remedies, but anyone you talk to needs a lot of specifics.

I would make an Infopass appointment at your local CIS office by going to the uscis.gov website and setting that up. You could begin to find out what happens that way. If after 30 days you don't have resolution after such a request, make another appointment and keep doing that until resolution.
