If you are in the US pursuant to a lawful admission, you may be able to file for your adjustment of status in the US. If you are outside the US, you would be filing for either an immigrant visa directly or for a K-3 nonimmigrant visa and subsequently apply for adjustment of status in the US after arrival.

In general, if you are in the U.S., the forms to file are I-130 and I-485 to obtain your green card. However, if you are not yet in the U.S. then the I-485 would not apply. There are also additional forms to complete, depending on the specific needs of your case.
