I would need to know what you mean by hold. Is he being detained at an immigration detention center or jail? Is he here illegally, a permanent resident or a citizen? If he is at an immigration detention center, you may be able to post bond for him.

If your boyfriend has an immigration hold, then he will not be released until USICE sets a bond for him and/or his status is resolved in removal proceedings.

No, but you could marry and keep him here, applying for his permanent residence in court. I presume he doesn't have a prior criminal record and that no one was hurt due to his DUI.
