Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I want to know one serious issue. my friend is terminated from a college in California. now he is out of status in USA. May I know the legal issues that will affect his status?

He is presently in F1 Visa Status.

If he is no longer a student, he must leave the US in order to stay in compliance with the law.

Technically he is out of status & should leave the country before he accrues 180 days or more of unlawful presence. Otherwise, he could be barred from re-entering the U.S. for 3/10 years.

Your friend has a 60 day grace period in which to change status or depart the United States. Failure to do so will result in him accumulating unlawful presence as mentioned by Marlene and may jeopardize his ability to apply for visas in the future.
