Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Is there a way to exactly know what a Joint Sponsor can be held responsible to reimburse, if he signs an i-864? Our co-sponsor trusts us, but is very worried about getting huge bills from gov't agencies, like if the sponsored immigrant ends up in a hospital or something like that. Thank you

A government agency will only seek reimbursement from a co-sponsor if the immigrant applies for certain public benefits, not if he ends up in the hospital.
The co-sponsor can review the USCIS brochure at:
http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/Resources/F3en.pdf;
or go to www.uscis.gov;
or call the USCIS customer service number.
