Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
L-1 visa
I have come to USA on an L1. I was wondering if it is legal for an L1 visa holder to put up his personal assets that he acquired during his stay in USA, for sale on the internet
( e.g. ebay.com or as a used item on amazon.com), for sale in USA.
What would be the Tax treatment of the proceeds (if I make a profit on the sale )
Any reply would be highly appreciated.
Thanx in advance,
Curious

Re: L-1 visa
Sure, anyone can buy and sell anything in this country. The only problem might be if you make it a full-time occupation as an Ebay-trader and not work in your L-1 job, you would be violating your L-1 visa. As for taxes, I'm not a tax lawyer but I don't think you would have to pay US income taxes.
