Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
laid off after filing for I 130
I filed I-130 for my husband who is on H1 but not working, and I have just been laid off from my work. We are waiting for the green card interview and would that be a problem? I was working when I applied for him. Please let us know what we need to do.

You really should consult an Immigration Attorney, if in Southern California. Please send me an email with your contact information and we can discuss your particular facts.

You need to meet the Affidavit of Support requirements at time of filing and interview. You can have an additional joint affiant, not just spouse.
