Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Law enforcement on illegal alien

I submitted a report on a suspected illegal alien. How do I make sure that action has been taken on this person? Are there any records available for public to check? Can I go and talk to the local INS enforcement officer? Such an officer would be responsible/ obligated to let me know the status, considering that this illegal alien is causing emotional distress to my family?

Re: Law enforcement on illegal alien

You can forget the INS. They won't do anything when aliens are brought to their attention in the general public. They don't have the resources anyway. We read stories in the media of police officers in the Midwest stopping illegal aliens and calling the INS and the INS doesn't do anything.

If the guy is causing "emotional distress" to your family, file a civil lawsuit against him, or get a restraining order.
