Leagal rights for resident alien

I whant to know if its leagal or not for me as a leagal residenr allien cross the border line and drive a car with mexican national plates. I have both mexican and american liscence and I reside in the usa.

There is no restriction for any resident not to drive car belonging to someone else or licensed in another country absent criminal activity. However, you might be obligated to present to a Highway Patrol your California license and Not your Mexican license.
