Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Legal status with work compensation claim
Does my legal status affected by the work compensation claim I filed? I came here thru my wife's petition (our petition to remove my conditional stay is still in progress. I was able to have my passport stamped with temporay evidence that our petition is in processing. I came in 1998. I work at County since 1999. I was diagnosed by doctors having Carpal Tunnel syndrome and wrists tendonitis. I filed work compensation claims. What should I do not to jeopardize my legal status and be able to work again. Thanks very much!

Re: Legal status with work compensation claim
Your worker compensation claim has nothing to do with your permanent residence status. All workers, including aliens, have the right to file worker's compensation claims if they're hurt on the job.
