legalize stay

I came in as a tourist but my I-94 is already expired. I married a nurse with a green card, what can we do to legalize my stay here and I want to be able to work lagally too?

Your spouse needs to apply for U.S. citizenship as soon as she qualifies. After she acquires citizenship, she may petition you for green card.
