Marriage to H1-B beneficiary

If you are on a six month tourist visa and marry an H1-B beneficairy, can you obtain H-4 status? (The marriage occurs after the beneficiary obtains H1-B status?

You can obtain the H-4 status, but he issue of whether you abused the B-1 status might come up. You should seek legal advice and have a lawyer review anything that you propose to file.
