Marriage

If I marry an illegal alien would/could that person become a US citizen.

Maybe one day, but very likely not right away. There are a couple of unusual situations whereby your spouse would be eligible today for U.S. citizenship having nothing to do with marrying you.

If he gets his permanent residence through you - which works as long as he's "admissible," which I would explain, one day, he'll qualify for U.S. citizenship.

Yes, but the complexity of the process towards obtaining the green card will depend on how that person entered the United States.
