Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I just got married with my US citizen husband. I am a foreigner who came from Asia. In my country, when a woman got married, both her middle name and last name should change. For example, my name is AAA BBB CCC (first, middle, last format). Then I got married to XXX YYY ZZZ. As a woman, my name will change to: AAA CCC ZZZ. So my original last name will become my middle name and my husband's last name will become my last name too. I live in California and I want to update my name using my home country's format. However, someone told me that here in the US, middle name doesn't usually change. How can I change my name legally? Do I need a court order before I submit my I-485 and I-765 to USCIS?

No need to complicate your life. Keep your name as it is in your passport until the time to apply for US citizenship. It is very easy to change your name when applying for citizenship. If that doesn't work for you, then you will need a court order to change your name.
