Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Im married to a U.S citizen and went to a lawyer for assistance in obtaining a legal status but she said something about an AFFIDAVIT of support. Unfortunately I don't know anyone eilling to help me out with that so I was wondering if there is a way around it?

Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid filing an affidavit of support. The person petitioning you needs to file one. If they don't meet the income threshold, you will need to also find a co-sponsor. Your attorney should explain this to you, in detail.
