can i marry ?

Hello Dear sir. Attorney

I am a permanent resident in the US for the last 2 years and my girl freind come to US as student using an F-1 visa, and I want to marry her legaly so can she get a green card? or work permit ? Is there any low that not allow me to do this?

Please I need help. did she wait till I will a US citizen to get a agreen card ?

Hoping to hear from any one who is a specialist on this case.

The only way to change your girlfriend status to that of a permanent resident immediately is if you become a U.S. Citizen first and then marry her. If you get married while being a permanent resident, she will have to wait a few years to obtain her permanent resident.
