Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

mistake

I filed an I130 for my husband with the help of a ''notary''. The notary put on the form that my husband works as a day laborer, instead of listing his jobs. They said it would be better to put that. will this effect his papers?

Re: mistake

Yes, it may affect him for not telling the truth! What will you do at the interview and the CIS asks for his paystubs or W-2s?

This is what happens often when one goes to a notary instead of going to an attorney. These notary guys should be put out of business...but unfortunately the authorities don't do anything about it.

If you're a US citizen petitioning for your husband, then it may be OK, but if you're not, his case may be in trouble. It is urged that you consult an immigration attorney about this and to possibly remedy the problem.
