Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

My mother filed for 245i before deadline. I was a minor at the time, and I am "grandfathered." However, she lost all paperwork, including case #. Can a lawyer verify and recuperate such case # from the 245i petition?

Your mother may make a request for her immigration records with USCIS under the Freedom of Information Act. The request must be written and can be done using Form G-639. The request can take up to a few months to process. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
