Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

N400. Citizenship... but in and out of the country past 5 years.

Hello,

I've been out of the country for over 3 years the past 5 years because of studies abroad. I am now applying for citizenship since I meet all requirements. Will being out of the country affect my eligibility for citizenship? also, I lost my old pasport which tells me the dates I was gone... do I have to be absolutely accurate on the times I was gone?

Thank you.

If you have not taken a re-entry permit your permanent residency is gone...unless you were coming here every year. Yes...out of the country for more than 6 months interreupts your comntinuous physical presence.
