Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Natiralization with misdemeanor conviction

I took ''disturbing peace'' plea bargain on a domestic violence case recently. My husband(married for 2 years) is a american citizen.I am a permanent resident(got green card before I got married to him) for the past 5 years. I am told that I have to wait three years before I apply for UScitizenship. If I get divorced now do I have to wait 5 years(display good moral conduct) instead of 3 years even to apply for citizenship?
