Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Overstayed Visa Waiver

Someone please help! I entered the

US on the Visa Waiver Program (I

-94W) and have overstayed for

several years. My boyfriend is a US

born citizen, but we are not married.

I have no children. I have no

criminal record and no legal issues

except for overstaying the visa.

My questions are:

1) What are my options for getting

legal status (of any kind) here in the

US?

2) What options do I have to return

to the US later if I were to leave?

(voluntary departure)

Thank you in advance, any advice

would be appreciated.

If you get married to your US Citizen boyfriend...you will get greencard without leaving the country.

Re: Overstayed Visa Waiver

If you marry your boy friend, he can file for permanent residency for you.

If you leave the US before your permanent residency is granted, you will be barred for re-entry for 10 years, unless you file for a waiver.

Please send me an email if you need further help.
