Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

My parents ilegally entered the US around 1985 from Mexico and have been working and raising their citizen children since. I understand there is a punishment to remove them out of the country during the process and we do not have enough extreme hardship to allow them to stay. What are our options? They are still caring for 3 under age siblings that attend school so it's not an option for them to fix status if it requires to wait in Mexico.

PS I am currently sponsoring my husband for citizenship through marriage

This is a very complicated situation & you should really speak with an immigration attorney.

However, Cancellation of Removal would only be an option if they were put in Removal Proceedings in Immigration Court.

Unless an immigration petition or application was filed for one of them prior to April 2001, they probably cannot legally immigrate until there is a change in the immigration laws.
