Can I pay to immigrate to the US?
I am from Australia and have over $1m in assets

You cannot pay to immigrate. However, if you make a $1 million investment in a business in the United States, hire at least 10 U.S. workers, & meet other requirements, you could get a "greencard" through the Investor Visa Program. There is also another program for pooling your money with others in a "Regional Center", with a $500,000 investment.
I would highly recommend seeking legal representation if you plan to pursue this option.
You can immigrate to the U.S. via -
1. The Investor Visa Program and try to get your permanent resident status if you make a $1 Million investment in a business in the US, hire US workers etc.
2. $500,000 investment thru a regional center
