Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

pegnant and tourist

I have two citizenship/passports. One of them is European and with it I can travel to US visa waiver 3 month stay. With the other passport I have a tourist visa and I can travel and ask for a 6 month stay.

If I travel to US during my pregnancy with one or another visa and during my visit I decide to stay for giving birth, can my tourist status be extended without leaving US to cover for the labour date and few weeks until babies are able to travel if it is a multiple pregnancy and travel would be risked? I will be paying for all medical costs.

I really like to do an assisted insemination with a LA based doctor who speaks my mother language and returned there to the birth of the kids. What is the legal way to do that? If I decide not give the father name for the birth certificate, can I do it in a later date?

Re: pegnant and tourist

Your question is a mix of family law and immigration law. If done correctly, you should be able to come to the U.S. and extend your stay to have the children, however you will need to prove your temporary intentions to be here and for that the assistance of a lawyer in planning and documenting your plans is important. Adding the father's name later could add complications, but it really depends on the state law where you intend to deliver.

I'll be happy to provide the kind of legal support you require. Check me out at www.yardum-hunter.com and/or write to me at [email protected].
