Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
PR for wife with overstay
My wife entered US with a valid visitor visa more than one year ago. For some reason, she keeps staying in US with me beyond the 6-month granted period. Now I just got my citizenship. Would there be any problem for me to apply the permanent resident status for her while she has overstayed her visitor visa by 9 months? Thank you very much.

There should not be a problem filing for an adjustment of status, keeping in mind the points discussed here:
