Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

proof of home value for affidavit of support

Regarding the adjustment of my wifes status, I need to show proof of my assets for the affidavit of support. The immigration officer said I must show proof of the value of my house, since I did not earn enough to qualify. My question is, what exactly is acceptable proof of the value? Is a copy of the appraisal and my latest mortgage stub enough, or do I need something more official?

Thank you

Re: proof of home value for affidavit of support

Any documents that show the acutal value of the assets would be acceptable. For a house, they need to see the amount owed and the equity, so the appriasal together with mortgage statement showing the value, the amount owed and equity should work.
